Another spa night at home ^_^

Hello Lovelies~

Today was another hard day at work, but it was also the last day of our President's Day sale and so everyone and their mother was in trying to scoop up as many great deals as they could. Mad houses would be calmer...I swear it! Lol ^_^ So tonight I am doing another relaxing at home spa night.

This time I am useing 'Freeman's Beautiful Avacado and Oatmeal Facial Clay'....

I have never used this mask before, so it's a fun new experience ^_^ The clay is a light green, almost Mint green in color, to be honest, I was expecting something a little darker in color, not that the color really matters. I had to laugh a bit when I realized I was wearing light pink pajama bottoms that were covered in roses, a light blue tank top, multi colored pastel yarn bows and had a light mint green mask covering my face. I feel all kinds of colorful tonight!

More on the results of my mask later, but for now we'll move on to the next step in my spa night. My nails! What spa night is complete without it? This is half for fun and half for nasesity. I broke two nails while at work ~_~!

This is an old picture, but it is the color I painted my nails tonight and just didn;t feel like taking a new picture of it. ^^;

The color is O.P.I.'s 'Warm and Fozzie' from the release of 'The Muppets'. It was the only color I was able to get from the collection and it makes me a bit sad, but I love it to death and have already used half the bottle. It looks great on me and I say that in full knowledge of the fact that normally I wear browns a bit akwardly.

Here is a swatch of the color I did a few months back. Look how it practically glows bronze! I love it so much!!!

Ok, So I just washed off my facial and my skin is all tingly. But after an hour my skin is still soft and smooth. The oatmeal calmed the redness in my skin and some of the small bumps I was worrying over were soothed away.

I really enjoy a good spa night. next on my agenda.... >.>.....a wonderful pedicure!!!!

Etsy Shop Review : Holly Tea Time

Hello Lovlies~

Work was really hard today. We are in the middle of a large sale at the shop I work at and they are cutting hours. So we are over worked and under staffed. ^o^; It's hard work! And beacuse of this, I haven't prepared a real post for tonight. So I thought I'd share a review of a shirt I received in the last few weeks.

 There will not be a picture of me wearing my shirt in this post due to the fact that I haven't taken one yet and wanted to get the post up before I procrastinated on it any longer ^^;

So! I ordered from an Etsy shop called 'Holley Tea Time'. She does acrylic jewlrey, key chains, buttons, and some of the cutest shirts Ever!!!!

I ordered the Rainbow Unicorn shirt in a 2X and I am so much more than pleased with it. It's soft and the design is bright and colorful. It sure did cheer me up today when I got home, let me tell you!

Holley was a doll to chat with. She replied to all of my questions swiftly and was nothing but nice and sweet.

I even got a small added surprise when I opened the package! ok, so here we go! Picture time!

The package was rather plain, but that was ok. Packages are like people! It's what's on the inside that really counts ^_~

My shirt!!!! Oh it's so cute! I got this shirt so I would have more casual Lolita looks for summer because I have a fealing this year is going to be terrible T^T !!! So haveing cute shirts on while my hairstyles wilt will make all the difference.

And here is the suprise! She included two buttons!!! And look *Points* the one on the right matches my shirt ^_^

So here's the break down darlings.

Price = $20 + $5 shipping. Not a bad price for a good shirt. So she gets big 5 in this cadigory
Communication = Excellent! I give Holley a 5 in this cadigory as well!
Product = On a scale of 1-5, I give her a 10! The shirt is so comfy!!

Over all = Perfectly Pleased!

Finder her shop ---> HERE!!!! <----

I will defenatly be ordering from Holly again, no doubt about it! Her designs make me smile and add a pop of Fairy-kei to my wardrobe. While you won't see me sportting a Pink and Miny split wig loaded with My Little Ponys, beads, and other such OTT things any time soon, I may just be adding a little more pastel into my life in the comeing year ^_~

Just a relaxing holiday at home....

Hello Lovelies~

Today is Valentines day and sadly, I happen to be spending it without a romantic partner. I thought about blogging about making home made sweets, but every attempt I made didn't turn out right in some way or other. The chocolate cracked and flaked apart, the jellies never firmed up, and my marshmallows oozed....>.>.... Lol! I am usually very good at making sweets, but desert making is all about emotions. So to save my kitchen from another iced chocolate issue, I decided to make tonight all about loving myself. That's right dearest readers, that means a Spa Night!

Facial masks, Nails, Soft music, and  all the Action movies I can handle! Who doesn't love a great action movie were the hero may or may not get the girl in the end, depending on what movie you decided to watch. I happened to watch Die Hard, The A-Team, and Speed after I watched a show called 'Friends With Benifits'. Can I just say.....O_O. There are no other words for that movie. It wasn't bad, but oh my lord......

 Any ways!

If you have never used a facial mask, it does wonders for the skin. I use various different masks...Avocado and Oatmeal. Lemon and Mint. And a Dead Sea Salt one that is Blue! But today I went for luxurious and used the 'Freeman: Feeling Beautiful Chocolate and Strawberry Clay Mask'. I usually don't like the smell of chocolate unless it's edible....it always smells....dark and artificial. But this mask is wonderful. It looks and feels like a thick milk chocolate and after you've let it dry and rinsed it off, it leaves your skin so smooth and soft!

A single use package is available at your local Walmart for $1.37, but a full bottle, which is 7oz., is no more than $4-$9 dollars at your local drugstore, or can be found online.

While I wanted for the mask to dry, I painted my nails. I went with something bold and bright to really highlight the lighter pink hearts I painted on it later. The color I went it is 'Pure Ice: Wet T-Shirt'.

It's a new color that has a great finish, even without a topcoat, and has a great glitter effect without being to over powering. Pure Ice is a great 'pick -me -up' on a bad day as it only costs $2 at Walmart. For the best result, I did three coats, but it looked great after two, so it's your choice really.

I didn't do anything super special with my hair, but put it up into braided pigtails and added some fine glitter to add a bit of sparkle.

I did happen to get a few gifts in the mail today~! I was so excited to wake up and discover fun treats. First, I opened the package from a very close friend. She sent me various stationary, all natured themed!

My favorite ones are the gold embossed bird cards. The colors are soothing and very elegant ^_^

Next I finally received a treat I found on Etsy. The moment I saw them, I knew I couldn't not have them, so it was money well spent!!!

Ok....the package it came in....

The back of the package it came in.....Ready for the actual treat??

                                                             Tah Dah!!!!!!

Sherlock and Watson key chains!!! They are so very very cute! >.>....Oh dear, is my outer geek being flashy again? Oh well ^_^ For Sherlock, I will always be a fangirl.

So to end my Valentine's Day, I grabbed my closest best friend and gave her a hug. Her name is Dani and she is my mom. The person who loves me for me and doesn't try to change me to much. With out her I wouldn't know what real love is. So to her I wish her all the love in the world.

I hope your valentine's day was as good as mine ^_^

Getting Organized! Make up round up, part 2

Hello Lovelies~

Here it is! The next instalment of my personal campaign to get organized! My eye shadow collection isn't as big, nor as flashy as I wish it were, but I enjoy dressing up my eyes ^_^ I think they are one of my best features.

So here we go!!

So here is the whole collection. It varies from loose pigments, to pressed pallets. Muted colors, vibrant colors, Lot's of golds and pinks. Every day neutrals for work wear and brights for a pop of fun and excitement for nights out.

The first set is from an online company called, 'Aromaleigh'. A few years ago they had a Gothic Lolita and a Sweet Lolita collection and sadly, neither collection is available anymore, but I feel lucky to still have these colors in my possession. If you ever find yourself with a little disposable income, try this make up company. The pigments wear well, but can be removed easily with a good make up remover.

From left to right, we have Satin Lace, Plush Romantic, Purple Princess, Wonderland, Dawnbright, and Nightbright.

I like Satin Lace the most. It's a startling bronze that always catches attention!

Next is a pallet I got from Hot Topic. It's called 'Dark' I bought it two years again and never really fell in love with it, it tends to smear more than smooth on. It's cheep, but the light grey on the far left is a fun color to blend with others.

Left to right we have Light Grey/Silver, Dark Grey Green, Dark Purple, Dark Chocolate with Burgendy Glitter, and Black.

From Maybelline, New York, this is the 'Hushed Tint' color pallet. I don't use all of the colors, but I use the beautiful tan color the most. I also use the light pink and white, but the tan is truly worth the $9 I paid for it,

From left to right, we have Purple Mauve, Rust, Sky Blue, Light Pink, White, Grey Green, Tan, Chocolate.

The light pink is hard to see in this picture and it's hard to see on the eye, but it's a great highlight color when paired with other pinks.

I love the make up from Bareminerals. I wear the three on the right more that the dark one on the left, but I really like how silky smooth they wear. The blend so well!

From left to right we have Brovo, Pure Joy, Soul, and Queen Phyllis Matte. I enjoy the Queen Phyllis Matte the best, Soul is also nice.

These four colors are the cheapest, but most vibrant I own. I got them from a beauty supply shop called 'Sally's' and for $.99 the colors go on like velvet. I really enjoy getting these when I've had a bad day. I mean...$.99....it's a great deal.

From top to bottom we have Emerald, Rose, Lilac, and Peach. On a fun note, I also use this brand for special effect make up. the Lilac, the Peach, and the Rose are great for bruises when used correctly.

Easy Breezy Beautiful.....I love Covergirl~ Their eye shadows are always nice. They tend to be hard pressed and can be a little cake like, but when applied right, it's well worth the money.

From left to right we have Burnished Gold, Champagne, and Rose Mist. I wear the Burnished Gold the most.

I don't remember where I got the first eyeshadow duo, or when I got the third duo set, but the middle one, now that is a new pallet that I have been looking forward to trying out.

On the top are the two eyeshadow duos and along the bottom is the tri-one sweep Loreal palette. So the first two are Berry Pink and Fruits Des Bois. The second two are from the Pink Suede collection. The one sweep shadow really disappointed me. It took three or four tries to get the right pressure to pick up the colors. and even at that, it picked up the brown the best and almost neglected the other two. You can see a small amount of the green, but the tan gold can't be seen at all.

This palette is actually from a company called Elf, found at Target. I discovered this interchangeable palette a month or so before Bareminerals or Lancome came out with their own 'Create your own' color pallets.

From left to right we have a Dark Copper, Slate, Lavender, and Pale Pink. I haven't used these all that often, but I have used the Slate grey once with a set of blues I enjoy...>.>....not that I wear blues....o.o....Lol! Blue eyed people should not wear blue eye shadows, but I do like to indulge from time to time.

These are my least used shadows, but the bright pink and teal on the far left. It's a fun shadow that I haven't seen in a very long time. See what getting organized can do ^_^

From left to right we have Mary Kate and Ashley's Eye Glam in Pretty and Joli. The next two on top and the first shade on the far left on the bottom are from Sally's. The palette is called Cawinkidink. The next color is called Posh Pink from Mary Kay. Then we have a trio of browns that range from Light Tan to Dark Brown. and the last copper smudge is an eye primer from Bareminerals. It is a limited addition color called Brightening Sunlight.

O.O WOW! Phew! That took a long time. I didn't think I would ever get to the end on my eyeshadow drawer. But I did, and it's all cleaned out and now I can start figuring out what I want to keep and which ones I could stand to part with.

I have come to a very interesting conclusion though....it seems I wear a lot of pinks and golds or...I buy a lot of pinks and golds thinking I don't have enough. If there is one thing this experience has taught me, it's that I can now buy fun colors ^_^

Thanks for reading and sticking with me!

Valentines....8 days and counting!

Hello Lovelies~

It's that time of year again. A time when Red, Pink, and White take over our lives and the price of roses sky rockets! Reservations are made, gifts are purchased, and let's be honest, someone will be in the dog house because they forgot how important the 14th of February is to some people.

While I will still be showing off my makeup as I organize it and telling you about books as I read them, for the next week or so, I will be posting about things to wear, treats to get your loved ones, where to go for a nice night one on a budget, and what to get as apology gifts if you forgot....or what to hint that your partner should get you ^_~

So let's start out with what to wear on the big night!

There are plenty of cute prints out to celebrate the fast approaching holiday, BTSSB has released ' Bon-Bon Chocolate DanceDanceDance', which is a cute multi striped, all over print.

Bon Bon Chocolate DanceDanceDance

I would love to post a few pictures from this collection, but Baby has coded their pictures to make sure they are not stolen. I can understand why they should do this. So please visit the link above to see the print yourself.

Metamorphose's Crown Label has offered us a cute border print called 'Cotton Candy'

Cotton Candy

I think it's a very cute print, no doubt, I mean...everything made of cotton candy? So cute!!! ....but the bunny scares me... >.>... This print is offered in Pink, Light Blue, and Navy. I think it looks best in Navy, but that's just me.

Innocent World is offering a really cute print called 'Berangere Rose', Of all of the offerings this year, this print has stolen my heart!

Offered in three colors, Yellow, Pink, and Blue, I would wear this dress for a night out of Valentines if I have the chance. It's beautiful enough toe translate for every season, you can pair it with either bows or roses in the hair, and it is offered in two lengths! how awesome is that?

Pink...Red...and White....whoever though this color scheme up when creating this holiday did not take into account that not everyone looks good in these colors! I know I don't. White makes me looks awkwardly yellow, Red brings out the red in my skin, no matter how much makeup I put on, and Pink....well....while it's a cute color and I like it a lot, I prefer light blue or black...or even a nice mint color.

Want to know what I'll be wearing this Valentines? Black.

I think a nice black dress with white pearls strung through my hair and bright pink lips will be fun ^_^ Don't know if I'm doing anything this year, no one has asked me to do anything yet, but I sure know what I'll be wearing!! ^_^

What will you be wearing my lovelies? Anyone wearing homemade outfits? I'd love to see them! In fact....I'll post any photos of homemade valentines outfits that are e-mailed to me between now and February 14th!

My e-mail is Shinitori@msn.com, I look forward to an e-mail or two ^_^

New tea treats!

Hello Lovelies~

Just the other day I was at work and a friend of mine came in and before I knew it, she was running out of the store and coming back in with this beautiful box.

I didn't get to open it until I got home, but she told me she had had my Christmas gift with her for the past couple of weeks, hoping we would run into one another, and we finally did ^_^ But as I said, I only got to open it when I got home, and oh my goodness! I was so so so blown away!

Isn't this pattern beautiful?? I am so excited to have tea now, I am currently making blueberry scones and brewing Lavender Sage Citrus tea and I'm staying curled up inside my home with soft crafts I need to finish and a good pot of tea.

What do you do when it snows?

Add a little shine...

Hello Lovelies~

Have you ever had one of those days where you just didn't want to get ALL dressed up or it's laundry day and all you have clean is a pair of jeans you only wear as a last resort?? I had one of those days last week. When these days occur, I like to add small things to my make up or hair that adds a little flirt or flare to the outfit. Last week I added crystals to the edges of my eyes with sticky backed jewels I found in the back of the jewelry aisle at my local craft store.

What do you do to jazz up a otherwise down played look?
