Happy Christmas ~ 2014

Merry Christmas Lovelies~

Whether you celebrate the birth of Christ or Yule, or just exchange presents in the spirit of giving gifts, I hope your holiday was full of smiles and joy.

Christmas is a time of magic and the New Year is right around the corner, so I'll be doing my yearly 'Goals' post soon.

But for now I wanted to share with you the gifts I received!

First, Stocking stuff!

Yan yan, Lollipops shaped like stars, a rose essence face mask, and Look! A Giant Hello Kitty Candy Cane!!!!!!

I shared a stocking with my lovely friend Jenee and she received a face mask, pistachios, and some Hello Kitty candy as well.

We must have been very good girls this year, because we got AWESOME stocking treats!

I was NOT photo ready today at all and I was taking pictures with my web cam, so the following are neither the best, nor the worst pictures I've ever taken ^_^

Tiny Toothless! I love 'How to Tame Your Dragon' and was so excited to get this!

OMG! HARLEY QUINN PAJAMA PANTS!!!!!!!!! Harley is my favorite DC Villainess and my wonderful Friend Jenee of JunkyAlchemy and her Captain got them for me ^_^

 Best Room Wear ever!

From my friend Brie, I received a small Fox toy, because she knows I LOVE foxes....

And you can't see it here, but the DVD is the new 'Godzilla'! (Thanks Brie!!!)

New hand lotion! It smells sweet and soft. But it's from Walmart  and was $.99 cents, so it's mostly Alcohol based and evaporates quickly while drying out the hands. Sad....but I love the smell!

Tamagatchi figurine to go along with my new Tamagatchi, which I will do a separate post about. I am all about Butterflies right now, Butterflies and Foxes, so this made me squee a bit.

When moving this year, it came to my attention that I have NO empty sketch books, so Santa must have heard my pleas when he brought this for me.

And what's a holiday without Beef Jerky? It was so good!!!! This is now my favorite Jerky if I can't get any in the Teriyaki flavor.

I hope ya'll had an AWESOME holiday!

Thanks for reading and for staying with me despite the LONG absence. I think I'll have one more post before the New Year, but if not, I'll see all of you in 2015~!

 ALL OF MY LOVE!

I need a new camera to take all kinds of pictures and I'm saving up for one. So with any luck, I'll have a new one for the new year ^_^

Yummy Treats! Cheesy Steak Sweet Potato Fries! Pictures + Recipe!

Hello Lovelies~

I have been in a really munchie mood lately and the thing I've been craving the most is Outback Steakhouse's Bacon Cheese Fries! But....sadly, I'm broke. So paying $8 for fries is out of the question. But It's a pretty basic recipe consisting of fries, cheese, bacon, and ranch to dip them in. So it was off to the kitchen!

Upon entry I discovered no potatoes and no bacon, I was SO sad and thought I might have to change my plans.

But Lucky Me!!!! I found a bag of sweet potato fries in the freezer and a steak! So here is how to make my yummy Cheesy Sweet Potato Steak Fries!

Step 1~ Fry your fries

Step 2~ Let cool as you cook your steak, flavor as you will but to get my taste cook with a drizzle of steak sauce, a splash of hot sauce, and a sprinkle of red wine. Salt and Pepper to taste.

Step 3~ Cover fries with shredded Cheddar and microwave for 1 minute.

Step 4~ Top with steak and eat! (Ranch to dip if wanted)

This took less than 30 mins to make and cost less than $8! (The steak was on sale for $2.32 and the fries were on sale as well, but I can't remember the exact price. But you can use an actual Sweet Potato as well to keep the cost down.)

It was so delicious!

Have ya'll done anything creative in the kitchen lately? I'd love to hear about it! Or see it!

September Inspirations

Hello Lovelies~

I've been up all night packing to go up to a wonderful convention called Midoricon, which I will be giving a full post about when I get home, but until then, I'd like to leave ya'll with an Inspiration's post to kick off this month right~!

This month is all about Tea for me. Last month was a terrible month all around and one of the things that got me through it was a strong cup of tea in a pretty cup or a gentle cup of tea in a sturdy mug. Both settled my heart and kept me calm through every up and down I experienced.

At Midori, I'll be hosting a Lolita Tea Party and so while I'm packing my frills, I'm also sipping green tea and looking up fun Tea Treats for all of ya'll to look over and enjoy while I'm gone.

Design an Outfit : Fandom Theme

Hello Lovelies~

It's been awhile since I last updated and let me just tell you, the month of August has SUCKED! But it's almost over and I'm on my feet again and I'm ready to start interacting with the world again. And how better to jump back in than with a 'Design an Outfit'?

This time I thought I'd go a bit 'In the Box' so to say and when I think of boxes, they are always Blue ^_^ So this month's DaO is Doctor Who themed~!

And what better way to show a bit of fandom love than to create a T.A.R.D.I.S. look?

 We'll start with the dress~

Excuse the blurry picture. I wasn't able to save the picture from the website, couldn't find it anywhere else, and I had to get creative.

You can fin the dress, HERE on Modcloth. com.

I chose this dress because of the spot on colors. It's not white window boxes by any means, but it is the start to a good over all look. Especially the double striped of white on the top and bottom. This dress goes all the way up to a 4X so anyone who wants to recreate this outfit for themselves will be able to with no problems ^_^

Because it's Doctor Who, what would this outfit be without a bit of Space? So I liked the idea of Galaxy tights.

I found these images on Google Images, so I won't be adding a link to them in specific. There are so many different prints and styles of Galaxy tights that it's very subjective. So add which ever style suits you best.

You could even DIY them for a bit of an extra personal touch to your outfit.

Taylor Yo has a really easy to follow 'Cosmic' tights tutorial. Check it out!

  Shoes next!

These were found on Etsy and SatansSlippers will make a custom set just for you. You get two designs, one on each shoe, for the quoted price, and then it's $10 extra for each added design.

Find them HERE. Another fun part about these shoes is that they remind me of Ten's shoes, which is why I went with them over Heels. It also keep the outfit wearable for everyone because there are some out there who are uncomfortable in the sky high heels I tend to gravitate towards.

That is the VERY basic outfit, but this is like a cake with no icing! So let's decorate it up a bit.

This cute belt buckle can be found HERE. Hottopic is a great source for DW items. I'd add this to a pretty white leather belt to add definition to the waist if you're one for belts.

This next one is interchangeable based on your doctor. But I'm a Nine/Ten girl, forever and always.

Etsy has lots of different styles of Doctor Who necklaces, but nothing is more classic than Bad Wolf. and this necklace reminds me of episode 4 where the T.A.R.D.I.S. is gratified. My only wish is that it were white, but oh well.

This necklace is from TheGeekStudio and can be obtained HERE!

I leave the hair to you. I think a cute blue pill box hat would be fun, but they are hard to find. You could also go with a simple hair bow with a Doctor Who print or theme to round out everything for a head to toe feel.

And there you have it!

Outfit post 7-5-14 and Style Swap with JunkyAlchemy (PICTURE HEAVY)

Hello Lovelies~

Yesterday I was invited over to play dress up with my friend from the wonderful blog JunkyAlchemy. I brought a few dresses to choose from and she did my makeup and hair. But before we even got to the dress up portion, I let her try on my dresses. She's never worn brand before and she's been loosing crazy amounts of weight lately so we dressed her up first and WOW~

So before I even show off my, I want to show her off. She's such a great friend and I was so happy that I got to experience her friend moments of Brand with her. She was so happy and emotional. We all have those feels the first time we wear our first Baby dress....it was so beautiful.

I love her so much! She is so cute!

So here is the transformation. Me in PJs with no make up and my hair down to Super Fabulous Mermaid Princess!

Above ~ No makeup

Below~ BB Cream and Bronzer

Step one of the eyes done! Three steps to go O.O

The mascara we used was Too Faced's Size Queen. Look at that brush?! It was a wonderful mascara to blend the regular lashes and the false lashes together.

And now the eyes are done!

Hair half up and half down to show the difference. There is a short video that will be uploaded with a review of the hair spray we used in my hair. I really liked it!

And DONE! Three hours later! But there was a break for dinner in there as well.

I laughed when she pulled out the pearl tipped hair pins. Apparently she was very prepared for my hair and had ideas on what she wanted to do with my new Blue tipped hair. Oh yes. >.>....for those of you who already noticed and figured it out. I dyed my hair earlier this week. Just the tips, but I love it so much!

Swimming is a Blast! I love seeing the blue floating around me. It's such an amazing feeling. Next is a mermaid tail and my life long dream of being a mermaid will be complete!

Next we dressed Jenee up in my Black and Pink Baby dress and she looks so cute! Next time we get together I'll be doing her hair and makeup so look forward to that ^_^

We got a bit crazy with the poses, no me, I'm not that creating when posing, but she used a few new ones. Like the 'Up Up and Away' pose and the closely related 'Flamingo' pose!

She even did a Grumpy Cat expression and a Sand Crab pose. It was so much fun taking pictures!

And then it was time to go home! I waited until 5 am to get ready for bed because I just wanted to bask in the awesome of my hair. But it had to come down and it looked really cute down too. I think I'm going to rock the twin tail look more often.

Thanks to Jenee for a wonderful day! check out her blog, HERE.
