Getting Ready to Travel

Hello Lovelies~

It's summer! The sun is blazing hot, the days are long, and the only thing that you want to do is stay inside and try not to melt like a popsicle. But about this time in an anime is when the best friend pops up and drags the main character off to the beach for some good fun in the sun and ramune!

Life isn't like an anime all the time, but I feel like I'm in one right now. My best friend invited me out to spend a week with her in Washington D.C. . She even booked a hotel near the beach a few hours from her house so we can enjoy a weekend by the water.

I am so excited! But planning the trip is the easy part. Now is time to pack and get ready!

So for the next week, starting Tuesday, I will be posting pictures, and updating my facebook and Twitter a lot more than I regularly do.

I may even post that craft tutorial you have all been asking for ^_~*

So make sure to check back or follow me on Facebook to keep up with my awesome beach trip ^_^

I can be found under my name on Facebook (Kathleen Sweitzer) and Twitter under AngelShinigami .

So now I need to pack and make sure I don't forget anything important. >.>.....

July IPSY bag

Hello Lovelies~

This months Ipsy bag is SO cute!! I am still waiting on mine to arrive, but my Mum's arrived this afternoon and is nicely letting me post the contents of her bag.

The bag it's self is a neon pink vinyl material. It's rounded, which is different for Ipsy, which has only till now sent out simple square bags. Personally, I like rounded bags more than square bags. So yay for this bag!

The contents are epic this month! There isn't a product I don't like!

From BHcosmetics, we have a sampler of three intense colors from three different collections, The Hollywood Collection, The San Francisco collection, and the Malibu collection. I like the San Francisco and the Malibu colors.

This is the item I'm the most excited about, I hope I get it in my bag as well. It's the Soy Renewal Beach Spray. From *Sexyhair.

This spray texturizes the hair and conditions it at the same time. I hope to do a full review later this month.

SPF 20 unscented sunscreen from Coola. I've never heard of this brand, but Sunscreen is never a bad thing to have in your beauty bag in the summer.

A lip color crayon from POP in 'Coral Crush'. The color it's self is a nice, though not really my color. I am hoping for the Rose Pink.

And last but not least, the Salt Air perfume! It's delicate and tangy all at the same time.

I can't Wait for my bag to get here. With over 10 items to receive it's so exciting to see what will be chosen for me!

Do any of you get an Ipsy bag? If so, do you use and enjoy the products? Which is your favorite from the various bags?

Food Friday ~ So Not Good For You Stuffed Mushrooms (Picture Heavy)

Hello Lovelies~

It's time again for another Yummy Food Friday! This time, I'll be sharing with you my favorite recipe for stuffed mushrooms. But not just any stuffed mushrooms! No no no, these are filled with cheese, bacon, cheese, and a bit more bacon!

Ready for the best stuffed mushrooms of your life? Lets go!

What you'll need :

Food :

1 package of stem and capped mushrooms OR two large baking mushrooms.
1/2 - 1/4 pound of Bacon, add as much as you like!
1 package of your favorite cream cheese
 1 package of cheese chunks
 1 chunk of butter

Other Needs :

 1 Large Bowl
 1 Medium glass pan
 1 Spatula
 1 Skillet
 1 Good Knife

First, get everything out that you'll need.

I am using small mushrooms for this tutorial, but you can also use larger mushrooms, but right now, we are going to focus on the appetizer/snack size.

Any cheese chunks will do, but I'm using a white cheddar for a smooth creamy taste.

First cook your bacon and set it on a paper towel to drain and cool down. Don't drain the grease left in the pan, you'll use it again. I say go for a nice bite and crunch to the bacon, but not hard as a rock or burnt.

While you are cooking the bacon, rinse the mushrooms and carefully pop out the stems.

Make sure to watch your bacon, but that takes a while, so go ahead and chop or cube your stems into bite sized pieces and put them in your large bowl.

Then chop your bacon into smaller pieces and once you add them to the mushroom stems, pour a small amount of the left over grease on top and toss to give a light coating.

ATTENTION : For those watching your weight! (Or can't have to much grease like me or have other reasons of various dietary or personal natures.) You can bake the bacon rather than frying it and skip adding the grease to the mixture.

Put a small chunk of butter in the bottom of your glass pan and put it in the microwave for about 15 second or until melted. This gives a rich liquid for the mushrooms to absorb while cooking to keep them hydrated.

You could also use a small amount of water with a sprinkle of salt to achieve the same effect, but I like the taste better with the butter.

Add a good scoop of Cream Cheese to your bacon and mushroom pieces and mix. Add cream cheese until you have enough to fill all of your mushrooms or until you are pleased with the consistency. It should be thick and chunky, but creamy at the same time.

Here is were the cheeses comes in. Cut or find a chunk of cheese to fit into the caps, then fill with the cream cheese mixture.

You can fill with the mixture and add shredded cheese on top half way though the cooking process as to not burn the cheese.

Cover with tin foil and cook for 20mins at 350*. This is all about heating the mushroom though and making it soft, so this is all about your personal taste and over temp. You know how your over works better than I do. = ^_^ =

I wish these had turned out picture perfect, but they tasted REALLY good, so while not beautiful, they are totally worthy.

Like I said in the title, these are not really good for you, but are so yummy it's hard to care. I like to make them for parties or a large one for lunch with steamed broccoli.

I hope you try this out! Let me know how it goes for you Via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (Rosesandcream), or through the comments below!

 Happy Tummys!

Hello Lovelies~

June was a month of changes for me. I am looking for a new job, just had a fantastic interview and if all goes well, by next month I'll have a whole lot more make up reviews for ya'll ^_~* I also changed my look a bit...

I went blonde!

It was a bit startling at first, bit I love it! I feel so confident and beautiful. I do miss my darker hair at times, but change is good.

I'm drawing again and working on my crafts again, all the time working hard to pay for a plane ticket to go see a good friend of mine in D.C.!!!

I'm also setting up my 'Bloglovin' account, so all Google Reader fans worry not!
