Inspirational Photos - November

Hello Lovelies~

A lot has been going on in my life these last few weeks. I lost my job, got a new one, and have been dealing with other personal issues that are still not concluded and until they are, I would prefer to keep them to myself. But I thought I'd share with you a few of the pictures I've found over the month that has kept my spirits up.

This one says to me, 'There is Beauty and Grandeur in the world, and one day, you'll see it for yourself'.

This one appeals to the OTT sweet lolita in me that will never see the light of day. All those layers would last for maybe one or two pictures before I stripped them off and they ended up in my purse for the day.

This one inspired me for the hair. It's a cute and different way to wear pigtails and a cute wig color to boot.

This quote is embroidered on my heart.

I hope you find these pictures inspiring! Thanks for reading!

Vintage Shopping and Cupcakes

Hello Lovelies~

The other day I went out to lunch with a friend and she took me to the cutest vintage shop afterwards as a pre-birthday outing!

I looked through everything and saw a lot of nice hats and pretty gloves, but when I saw these glasses...I knew I had to have them!!

I has been looking for a good pair of pink 50's styled glasses and I FINALLY found a pair! And not only that....they are vintage 50's! They are a solid metal frame and a light rose pink color.

Just the other day my friend and fellow blogger Violet LeBeaux and I were talking about cat eye styled glasses and where to get them. I am so excited to own these ^_^

After shopping we went out for cupcakes!

From top left to right we have the Chocolate Habanero cupcake, The Black and White cupcake, and the Sweet and Salty cupcake. Bottom left to right we have a Chocolate Croissant, Dulce de Leche cupcake, and the Strawberry Mango cupcake.

Don't the cupcakes look yummy?

Below is a bonus picture of my friend. She is a beautiful gal and we both agree, she is a perfect 10! ^_~

Beauty in the Eye of a Storm

Hello Lovelies~

Tonight I am watching a beautiful storm through my dining room windows as I sip hot sweetened tea and let my thoughts think about how stunning the sage-ish mint cream color the light has become. Most people don't like storms, but me...I love them.

Rain is cleansing and the rumble of thunder reverberates through my chest...it's...like if you stand outside for long enough, nature will cleanse away everything.

I like that thought, and for this post, I'd like to share with you some styles inspired by nature!

Innocent World is always a great source of Gentle and Natural feeling clothing. This season, we are graced with beautiful roses and strawberries. As seen below.

The white and wine color is a gentle mix of organic and feminine. The feel of this piece inspires me to take a walk though the woods...

Below is a closer picture of this print.

This print makes me want to go on a picnic and read classic books under a large blooming apple tree.

Metamorphose is currently working with chiffon and lace, but I did find one accessory that matches well with my nature themed meandering down the rabbit hole.

Fairy Garland. To my thoughts, these would be like wrist cuffs, only a little less tight and more like bracelets.

I've had my eye on this purse since before it offically came out in early spring. I love it and I loves the consept sketches for it! This purse makes me think of collecting flowers in a feild of wild flowers.

Baby the Star Shine Bright is very light and classic sweet this year, but nothing really feels natural and organic, but I did see a purse that would match well with and be the perfect way to end this post.

While I already showed you my dream Forest Maiden like purse, this tote bag is soft and elegant. It would be better for a change of shoes and a cargigan just in case the natural setting you find yourself in is not ideal to high heals and is hotter or colder than you previously thought.

Do you like the Mori/Lolita mix?

Penning Letters: A Lost Art?

Hello Lovelies~

While I was waiting for my manager to open the back office so I could clock out at work, I was hanging out in the Fine Art section and while browsing about, I happened to look to my left and see an entire section of quill nibs, wooden bodies, and pots of ink, just sitting on a shelf as if it were the year 1800 and everyone, including their sister-in-law's mother's step brother is carving out the time in their busy day to sit down at truly write a letter.

I know the intention is for wedding invitations and the like, but it got me thinking about my own neglected Quill set hiding in my room and I longed to truly sit and write someone. But Who?

With information able to be sent faster than the speed of light, why sit down and pen a letter to someone when E-mail is so easy? By the time the letter is received the news is old, though the opinions still valid.

So why do it?

Simple. Because e-mail is so easy, people never get mail that isn't Junk or Bills. Sure the occasional Holiday card is received, but even that is getting side lined by e-cards and the instant no postage required attitude.

Hand writing a letter let's someone know that you took the time out of your day to sit and think about them for however long it took you to write the letter. Whether you use a Quill like I like to, or you use a pen or even a pencil, it's a more heart felt way to say, 'I Love You'.

So before you sit down and fire off an e-card or write a two page long e-mail to your Sister telling her about the wonderful family trip you just took, think about the surprise and joy your receiver will get when they find your letter in the mail, tucked between the coupons for Pizza Hut and the Midnight Velvet catalog.

Happy Writings!
