Sally Girl Eye Shadow Review

Hello Lovelies~

While out shopping the other day, I found myself in a local beauty shop called Sally's. It's a small shop stuffed with everything one might want for Hair Care, Nail Care, as well as a nice assortment of cosmetics.

Now I'm not normally one for cheep eye shadows, I usually can't find one that doesn't need to be retouched in three or so hours, doesn't smear, or feel to heavy. So when I saw Sally's was having a sale on their own line of cosmetics called 'Sally Girl', I didn't have high hopes. But, never one to pass up a .99 cent sale, I looked over their colors and found a strong peach that I just had to try.

As you can see, it's a small, pocket sized eye shadow holder, so on the down side, it might be easy to loose if misplaced, but on the upside, it has a lot of shadow in it. I'll get tons of use out of this!

This is my left eye with out the shadow...

And my right eye with the shadow.

I applied the shadow with my finger because I wanted to actually feel the texture of the powder and I was pleasantly surprised to find that felt like velvet! It was so silky smooth it was crazy. It moved across my skin with ease and gave great coverage and the pigment is exactly what I had hoped for. I wore this shadow for six hours and didn't need to retouch it once.

All and all, I'm very happy with my great find and will defiantly be going back for more soon!

Trend Report!

Hello Lovelies~

With Christmas right around the corner I haven't haven't been as attentive to you as I should, but in my week or so of down time, I did stumble across a cute trend everyone is going to love!

The trend I'm talking about is Fur! Or, more specifically, Fur Collars and Tails.

Fur collars are perfect for the winter. You can add them to coats or over any sweater to give it a touch of cuteness or elegance, depending on what you're going for. Innocent World was the first brand I was release just the fur collar, one that wasn't connected to any jacket or coat, though it had the ability to be. It was Released in 2009 in both a fawn, or Dear Spotted print, as well as a plain chocolate brown.

On to the next half of this trend. Tails.

While tails have yet to reach the Lolita community, they are very big with Gyrau and Gals.

Multi colored.... big and fluffy....I don't see a down side to this adorable trend. I wear a tail myself sometimes, though usually only around the Renascence Fairs.

Following this trend can add some whimsy and fun to a casual outfit and would be an awesome addition to any Deco Lolita outfit, or even and Fairy Kei look, how cute! Not brave enough to walk around with a tail connected to your belt loops? Connect it to you purse instead. It's a perfectly viable option and still allows you to join in this playful trend.

Please note, these awesome pictures belong to Japanese Streets, which is an amazing trend following blog. Go check them out!

Happy Loliday!!

Hello Lovelies~

The day is here! That very special holiday that only comes around twice a year. Loliday. The day when girls and boys who love the Lolita fashion get dressed up in the best frills and celebrate just being them. Rather alone or in a group, this holiday is a great way to fully embrace who you are.

Today would be a great day to make your Lolita debut if you're a girl who's still a bit nervous about donning a petticoat out in public, or, if you find that a bit daunting, one could always stay inside and have a flamboyant princess day complete with afternoon tea and pedicures.

If you're a seasoned Lolita, how about trying a new style? If you're a Gothic Lolita, why not have some fun and try to make a sweet cord out of your closet, and for a sweet girl, why not try something on the edge and go for a Pirate look for the day?

Lolita is a large and varied fashion, so have fun with it and have a very very happy Lolita day to everyone around the world!
