Product Review : Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack

  Recently I received an order from my favorite Asian makeup site, Prettyandcute.com!

 I am a constant stalker of their light pink digital princess perfection and my favorite section is the skin care. I really love their Facial Mask selection. My favorite is the White Rose from Beauty Diary I think. I also really like the Sakura Blossom one, but those are reviews for another time.

Lately, I've been browsing the moisturizers. Each time reading and rereading the properties and weighing the price and I usually find a reason to leave the site before I buy a thirty-three dollar something or other that may and or may not make my skin go crazy. (Having dry, combination sensitive skin is such a pain sometimes.)

So when I order my latest round of dye and saw a trail package of one of the products I had been debating on for free I didn't hesitate for a second to choose that rather than the BB Cream sunscreen I usually get.

 It's one of my better impulse choices, let me tell you all about it ^_^

 

I have been looking at and lusting after the 'Waterdrop Sleeping Pack' from Lioele from a few months now. It promises to Brighten, Moisturize, Calm redness, and Reduce puffy-ness.

 Honestly, it sounds to good to be true, but I'm willing to boldly blaze the trail others have blazed before me in pursuit of less red skin and the reviews on the site sing it's praises. Loudly.

The sample size is just enough for the full face and it's so cool when going on, it was like my skin was sighing and instantly relaxing. The product absorbed nicely and left no sticky or greasy residue, which I highly appreciate.

 While it didn't take away the redness in my cheeks, in the morning my skin was soft and there was no morning swelling from pores begging to be cleaned. In fact, since the Waterdrop Sleeping Pack is a water base, my skin felt very light and refreshed.

A small bottle is $9.99 and it's on my list of things to keep in my life. Now that I've found it, I wouldn't want to go without it.

 Hopefully I'll still feel this was after using it for a few months as it's rather hard to make solid statements after one trial.

Pros!

* Didn't reduce the redness

Hello Lovelies~


  I just finished 'Flawless', the second book in the Pretty Little Liars series. It was a good book, but I was unsatisfied with it in general, But! It was a typical follow up book. Like a second movie in a three - peat. Good, but not great.

There was a lot less Brand Dropping in this book, which I liked. It seemed like Shepard smoothed out her writing style and I am looking forward to reading how it further evolves in 'Perfect', the third PLL book.

 I have come to find the BEST part about reading these books is that they are amazing for gossip! Even is the gossip is about made up characters. ^_~*

 In this book we find Aria getting together with Sean, Hanna's ex boyfriend. She is also finds out that her father is once more cheating on her mother with the same girl, a once student turned teacher at the college he teaches at, that he was seeing before Alison's disappearance and the Montgomery family moved to Iceland.

Upon getting a message from A, Aria goes to confront the girl at her yoga studio only to find that Spencer is a student of hers. After running away from the confrontation, Aria gets tipsy enough to be brave and she has Sean take her to the girl's apartment, because that always goes SO well. After being told in no uncertain terms that the girl doesn't plan to stop seeing her father, because they are in love.

 Aria then gets another message from A informing her she has a deadline to tell her mother about the affair or A will.

Do you think Aria told her mother? Or did she miss her deadline?

 Spencer get's together with her sister's ex fiancé, Wren, who she is not supposed to be seeing at ALL, but still manages to sleep with him after finding out her parents have cut off her credit cards for kissing the guy! But after she excepts an invitation to 'Foxy', a local charity event, from a classmate of hers, her family forgives her and it seems all is well....or is it?

Spencer is over stressed from all of her class work, the stress of turning in her assignments early to impress her teachers, dating Wren, and the mess that in her home life, so to reduce a bit of that stress, she steals one of her sister's papers from the file sharing program her family has their computers linked too. Not a smart move for a paper that wasn't even due yet...(Just my opinion)

The night of 'Foxy', Spencer receives a message that give the indication that Wren is in danger. So being the typical stressed out mess that she is on the inside, she calls over and over and over. She get's him and manages to talk to him while at the dance, but her date over hears her and there are hurt feelings all around.

The next day, she calls Wren again and finds out that he's seeing someone else and he doesn't think she's mature enough to handle an 'Adult Relationship'.

 After confessing to still seeing Wren to her sister, Spencer finds out that Melissa already knew and is the 'Someone Else' he was seeing, two days after sleeping with Spender, which just happened to be a week after he'd broken up with Melissa for kissing Spencer to begin with....And it turns out that Melissa is done with him as well.

Talk about an 'If I can't have him no one can' type mentality.

As for Hanna, well poor Hanna doesn't have as much drama as the other girls. Sure she has to work at Sean's family's burn clinic to pay off the damage for the car she wrecked and she steals drugs from an open cabinet which gets her in trouble latter. Then at one point she thinks her and Sean might get back together, but chooses to go to the city with her father on the night of 'Foxy', a dance she and Sean were going to go to together.

 What she thought was going to be just her and her father turns out to be Her, her father, her father's fiancé, Isobel, and Isobel's daughter Kate, who hates Hanna and doesn't want her in her perfect little families life at all.

Hanna receives a message from A telling her that Sean is at 'Foxy' with another girl and she better hurry if she wants to catch him in the act and Kate tells her to go, she has her covered and while she's at it, can Kate have a few of the drugs she sees in Hanna's purse.

 Hanna leaves the restaurant with her dad to rush back to Rosewood to confront Sean and his date who just happens to be......Aria! There is yelling, screaming, name calling, and all that before the big A drama of the book can go down!

 Emily is still having feelings for Mia St. Germaine, but doesn't want to deal with them, so when Toby Cavanagh, an old not friend who went to Juvie for aiming a firework at his sister and blinding her, turns up at the Rosewood Day vs. Tate swim meet as the Tate's team captain, she develops a bit of a mild, 'I should like boys and he likes me' crush on him. She asks him to go to 'Foxy' with her after she receives free tickets for being the swim team captain for Rosewood Day.

At the dance, Emily is confronted with Mia, who says she'll wait for Emily as long as it takes, and with her ex boyfriend, Ben, who tries to get her to 'prove' that she's not gay by grabbing at her and kissing her and trying to assault her, but Toby stops him and they leave to party, neither one feeling that comfortable with the company.

 While driving her home, Toby tells Emily that he hated Alison and he's glad she's dead. Emily get's scared that he might be A, after she tells him she knows what he did, accusing him of killing Ali, but Toby thinks she is accusing him of something else.

Emily manages to get out of the car and runs all the way home, through a corn field and the forest that happen to border her back yard, where she locks all of her doors and refuses to open her patio doors when Toby tries to get her to open them, even if just to give her purse back, or so he claims.

Well, while Emily and Toby have left the party, Spencer has rounded up the other girls and is convinced that Toby is A and he is trying to get back at them for their involvement with what happened to his sister Jenna. (Seems Toby wasn't the one that shot at Jenna after all).

 The girls run all over and call Emily a ton, but seeing as Emily left her phone in her purse, which got left in Toby's car when she jumped out, she doesn't get the calls which scare the girls even more.

Spencer goes to check for Emily at her house, Aria heads home to talk to her mom, and Hanna travels all the way back to the city to get back to her family.

 More drama happens, just a bit, but key stuff, and someone is dies.

 O.O....yeah, you read right.

Want to know who? Read the book! I left out a lot of good information that makes the book well worth reading.

It's a slow read, but sets up the next book well. I am really looking forward to getting it.

 

Book 8 of 50

Hello Lovelies~


     I've been sick for about a week, as my last post indicated, so I've been able to have some down time to catch up on my reading. Last night I finished reading 'Warm Bodies', a zombie book which has recently been turned into a movie. I'm not one for zombies, but after seeing the movie trailer, I knew I had to read the book before I bought my tickets.

'Warm Bodies' is a wonderful new take on the classic story of 'R'omeo and 'Julie'tte. R is a zombie of a different sort and Julie is the daughter of a bohemian free spirit who passed her love of life onto her daughter. The two star crossed lovers meet at a party of sorts that is filled with screams and gunshots rather than laughter and music.

 You'll have to read the book, but it is the general plot of Romeo and Juliette. It's hidden in a smear of blood, but this book is funny in all the right places and grips you from the first page.

While reading this book, I saw a few Shakespearean connections, but I was more interesting in the under lying theme of Nature vs. Nurture.

 The question, 'If we wake up and remember nothing about who we are, would we still be us.' So we know what we know because it's taught to us, instilled in us, over and over and over, or is there a higher plan? A greater design?

 Whatever the answers are, I'd like to share with ya'll a quote from the book that stuck with me, made me think about it for more than it was, but what it could be saying....


    "I have begun to wonder where I came from. The person I am now, this fumbling, stumbling, supplicant... Was I built on the foundations of my old life, or did I rise from the grave a bank slate? How much of me is inherited, and how much is my own creation? Questions that were once just idle musings have begun to feel strangely urgent. Am I firmly rooted to what came before? Or can I choose to deviate?" --- R. Paragraph 1, page 59.


For a book aimed at young adults, with it's roots in the Shakespearean past and it's hands stretching out to the apocalyptic future, it is has layers, like a lotus flower.


  This book might have a small opening for a sequel. But it's a solid read. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Romance, Zombies, and Searching for a deeper meaning.
 

Glam Bag/ Ipsy Bag Review: January: Super Stars!

 January is all about trying out new things. Making a new start. Making promises to yourself that you totally intend on keeping!....even if you only actually follow through on one of them.

This year, I promise to try new things, organize my room, Blog More, not let work take over my life, get a new job, loose 10 lbs. by March, and pay better attention to my budget. Big Sexy Hair Hair Spray 1.5 ounces. I am not one for hair spray, it tends to make my curls sticky and fall down anyways, but I am going to give this a try the next time I do a Hime up do.

Argan Oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, grown organically in Morocco. Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles.  It's said to be gentle enough to use on all skin types and is known to help with skin conditions including acne, eczema and rosacea. I am using it to fade a few scares I have on my hands.

I don't usually wear red and I was really hoping for the soft cream color, but there will be more on this at the bottom of the post.

This is my favorite product this month. I absolutely love the smell and it's made my hands so soft, even with as much as I wash hands, they haven't dried out yet!

 Blood Orange, a small touch of raspberries and strawberries, Italian Sweet Oranges, and Mandarin Oranges. This Body Butter practically transports my to my favorite deserted Mediterranean beach, lush and full bodied....it's perfect.

 Anyone who likes oranges, I would recommend this to you.

Product Reveiw: Etude House Missing U Hand Cream

 This is my first real post of 2013 and I'm sorry it's taken me so long to update, but my computer is currently down for the count and I am borrowing my mum's until I can figure out why my baby won't turn on anymore....

BUT!

 The other day I received a package from my favorite online beauty supplier, PrettyandCute.com, and I am sad that I can't upload pictures right now, but Here is the link to the adorable new hand cream I got!

Missing U Hand Cream by Etude House.

 If you clicked on the link and can see the cute little owls, then the one I purchased was the light green Kakapo which is filled with Sweet Apple scented lotion.

First let me say.....oh my lord! This owl is SO cute!!!! it fits in the palm of my hand and as odd as this may say, it make me want to cuddle it all the time! ...>.>....ok. So other than that, back to the serious business of this review.

 This hand cream has many good and less than good points. Nothing bad, per say, but just not so good. First, let's cover the good points.

The Good~

* The cute packaging

  ~* Not only is the owl itself cute, but it comes in a little house shaped box with a tree on the front so it looks like that owl is sitting on a tree branch.

* It smells like Fresh Picked Apples.

 ~* I love the smell of fresh apples verses the smell of apple candy. So this was something I didn't know before I got it, so it was a gamble on my part and I was pleased how it paid off.

* Price for what you get.

 ~* The description doesn't say how much of the product you are actually getting, so I figured I'd be paying $9.99 for mainly packaging, but I was surprised to discover how much hand cream I actually received.

* Non Greasy!!!

 ~* I'm not sure if any of you lovelies have this issue, but I hate the slick, sticky, too much lotion, feel I get after I use some brands, but I like the fact that the Missing U Hand Cream is light weight and absorbs after only a moment of rubbing it in.

* My hands are really soft.

 ~* This is both a pro and a con actually. While it's true my hands are not drying out as fast as they were before I started using this cream, they are not getting any softer, which is something I look for in a moisturiser, but it's still doing a wonderful job at keeping my hands looking beautiful.

* Eco Friendly

 ~* Is one of your resolutions to be a little more 'Green' this year? To help protect the wild animals that are slowly disappearing due to humans encroaching on their habitats? To reduce the amount of harsh chemicals that you put into and onto your body?  Well then this is the perfect product for you!

This cute hand cream is packaged in a 100% recycled box, gives a percentage of proceeds to help save the endangered owls, and is parabens, sulfate, ethanol, and Mineral Oil free!

The Missing U Hand Cream is made with Shea Butter and Herbal Water, that's it.

 But with the good come the not so good....

The Not So Good~

* The scent doesn't last.

 ~* It's a sad truth, but the lovely apple smell lasts for a very short time before turning a bit darker as the hands heat the lotion and eventually disappears all together after about...seven minuets or so. (Yes, I timed it.)

That's it.

 See? Not bad at all, lol.

I really really like this product and will be collecting the other adorable owl friends as I get the money too.

 So here is the break down Lovelies....Out of 5

Shipping : 4-5 Not bad. For Economy shipping to Nebraska it's about....$8 or so. And I usually receive my order by the end of the week.

Price : 5-5 $9.99 for a Cute Eco-Friendly hand cream?? I'm all for that. There was no guilt over spending the money.

Quality : 4-5 I wish the apple smell lasted longer, but other than that I am very pleased the the quality of this product.

RESULTS : I totally recommend this hand cream. I am really liking it and a little goes a long way, which is a very nice thing indeed, especially when one is on a budget.

Book 7 of 50

Hello Lovelies~

 By now we all know I am not going to make 50 books by the new year, but I figure 'why stress?'. I'm going to continue my challenge for me, reading new interesting books when I get the time. And before 2013 is here, I wanted to share the latest of my interesting reads.

 I am a big fan of the show 'Pretty Little Liars', In fact, it's safe to say it's one of my favorites! and after two seasons of loving it so so much, I finally decided to get the first book to see if my love would translate.

The first book in this long running series is 'Pretty Little Liars' by Sara Shepard.

I was surprised how different the book is from the show...It's not just a little separated...it's like a whole different universe, but that's ok. I think the main glaring difference is the time that has lapsed since the character Alison's disappearance. Instead of a single year, it has been a long stretch of three years!

 Three....

A lot can happen in three years, so the the fact that for the whole book the girls rarely if ever interact is quite understandable. The book immerse you in the Liar's worlds and allows you to come to know each character deeply before mixing them all together. Aria is still caught between who she was, who she is, and who she might become tomorrow. Spencer is a high functioning obsessive compulsive when stressed and wants to be more than what her family wants her to be, but is pressured into becoming just like them with all of their faults. Hanna is a bulimic stress eater who thinks she has it under control but doesn't. And Emily is in the middle of an identity crisis revolving around swimming and the pretty new black girl she's falling for. It doesn't help that he mother is racist and her siblings are perfect swimmers on scholarship to fantastic schools.

I liked getting to know my favorite characters better. For instance! Aria is a knitter. She is very Bohemian and Eclectic. Spencer Likes Interior Design and wants a kitten. Hanna was thin until her parents started having problems, she then ate to escape the fighting and make the pain stop. Emily has two older siblings and a younger sister whom she shares a room with.

 These are little details that are different from the show, but can be seen in the on screen character development. I am currently re-watching seasons 1 and 2 to see how what I know now adds to the story...

 What I didn't like was the fact that the whole book was all about Brand Dropping. The coke wasn't a coke, it was a 'Vanillia Coke', The purse just wasn't a purse, it was a 'Kate Spade'. The whole book was like that and it was hard to loose myself in the words when the sentence flow was constantly interrupted for Brand Names.

I am looking forward to reading the second book, but I only recommend this series for those who have seen the show and want a bit more background and insight into the story lines.


 

Make up Monday : Lancome Juicy Tubes

Hello Lovelies~

 Last week I talked about how much I love a good lip gloss and that I never leave home without some on me. This week I want to show you my favorite color.


 This is Lancome's Juicy Tubes lip color in 'Coral Rush'. It's a wonderful light nude pink color with just the right amount of sparkle.

The gloss is smooth and not as sticky as some glosses. The best part about this gloss is that it smells like Watermelons and has a light sweet taste, not the I recommend actually eating it.

Price: $18.00
Quality: 4-5  It's a really nice gloss, but it wears thin and gets gummy after a few hours. Which is an odd combination.

Want: YES!
  I will totally buy this product again. I really love the silky feel of it and enjoy the various colors. The next color I want is 'Fruity Pop'.

Product Review: Circus: Andrea's Choice (Part 2)

 I got my Glam Bag this month and I was so happy with it! I even got another bottle of Andrea's Choice nail polish. This one is called 'Ringmaster'.

This is a wonderful color. It's bright and cheerful and wearing it lifts my spirits. My favorite part about this polish is that it dries super fast! A manicure takes less than 10 mins. and it's done.

 Sadly, this polish is still not available for purchase yet, but it will be in September.

I did not use a top coat on this manicure, but I recommend it.

Price: ?-5 N/A I got this in a beauty bag, so I didn't pay the correct price for it.

Quality: 4-5 : This was less streaky than the white polish. It dries fast and it looks great with just one coat.

Product Review: Circus: by Andrea's Choice

Hello Lovelies~ 

 I recently signed up for a monthly mystery beauty bag and what I haven't been thrilled with the items this far, there was one that stood out this month. 

I receive a nail polish by Andera's Choice called 'Reverso', from the Circus collection. 

     I had to review this polish because it's hard to find a good white polish, but this particular polish is 100% vegan and cruelty free! It's really hard to find products like that that are comparable to commercial products we know to be tried and true.

And get a load of the packaging!!!

How cool is that? The colors are great and you just pop the top and inside is the polish. You could keep the polish in the tube, or you could find another use for it. I turned mine into a holder for my eyeshadow brushes.

  The color I received is 'Reverso'. 

 I was both pleased and disappointed in the color. It has its it's pros and cons. Do you remember when you were first starting to paint you nails when you were...say....5 or 6 and thought painting White Out on your nails made you all grown up?...>.>.....I can't have been the only one to do that.....o.o....Anyways. This reminds me of that. It smells like White Out and is just as thick, the first coat is a bit streaky and the polish gets tacky, but it dries VERY fast. By the time i was done with my second hand, my first hand was done and ready for a second coat.   

The second coat smoothed everything out, as second coats tend to do, and I was pleased with the final product.

  Now, I'm not one for pure white nails, it's just not my color, But! Another great point for this color is that it's a great base color for sheer colors!

Above is a picture of my nails with a light coat of O.P.I's 'Princesses Rule' painted on top of the 'Reverso'.

 I really liked how that turned out, but I didn't stop there.  I am working on a new nail technique that lightly outlines the nail in another color. I haven't got it down yet, but here is my second attempt.

Over all I think this manicure took....22 mins. I did my nails and only waited 5 mins for the extra polishes to dry, then went right to bed and nothing smudged or smeared at all.

 OK! So, Here is the break down.... Out of 5.

Price: ?-5 N/A. This collection won't be available until Fall 2012, but the moment i find out the price, I'll let you know.

Quality: 4-5 For a vegan product, I really liked it. It had a good consistency and dried fast. I was very impressed with this polish and will be getting the other colors when I can.

RESULTS: This is a yes and a must for girls who like sheer colors can can't find a good base color.

Violet LeBeaux's Etsy Shop Review!

 Hello Lovelies~

        Last week my good friend and well known Australian blogger, Violet LeBeaux, opened her first Etsy store and while I my budget glared at me, I still clicked the yellow 'pay now' button and bought a pretty bracelet in support!

 I bought the Pink Pearl bracelet with Acrylic Burgamot charm.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I should've known Violet wouldn't do anything by half measures! Not only did I get the bracelet, but I received one of her super cute business cards, a thank you note, a small flier that told about Violet's blog, and a hand written note which made it all the more special.

 So here is a picture of my purchase after a removed it from the shipping package.

I wish the bracelet was a few beads larger, but the quality is great. The charm is laser cut and feels scratch resistant which is good because I travel a lot and my jewelery goes were I go.

Quality: 5-5  I really like the bracelet is just as advertised. There are no flaws and it's a absolutely beautiful.

Product Reveiw: Living Proof: No Frizz Styling Cream

 I recently signed up for a monthly makeup bag and while the first bag I got in June was a bit of a let down and not worth showing off, but I did get one product I really liked!

                           Living Proof's Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream

I am not one to normally use styling products in my hair. but my hair is very dry and this summer is just making it worse!

 To use: Liberally coat your damp hair from root to tip. Then comb through and either allow to dry, or style as usual.

I let mine dry before styling, just for reference. Below is a picture of the product in my hair. As you can see my hair isn't weighed down or saturated, which was nice because it didn't take forever to dry after the cream was applied.

Once dry, my hair was soft and felt like velvet. I could actually run my fingers through my hair!!

   And this is the result after styling!!!  On a 98 degree day with a humidity of 67%, my hair stayed smooth and curly rather than a frizzy mess.

This is just one product in a whole line of hair care products which included Shampoo, Conditioner, a Leave in Conditioner, a Styling Spray, and the Styling Cream.

 As for the price, at . 2 oz. for $15, 4 oz. for $26, and 8 oz. for $36, it is more expensive than your average styling product. I used a little less than 2 oz. on my hair, but most people don't have hair that reaches their hips, so 2 oz. might got further for some than others.

RESULTS: I would recommend this for anyone that has difficult to style or dry hair. This product has no silicons or oils, it's sulfate free and leave the hair beautifully manageable, even the next day.

Book 6 of 50

Hello Lovelies~

 Today's post as been moved around a bit. I was going to do a post about the mystery make up bag I got in the mail, but I actually finished another book last night, so I shifted things about and what was once todays post will now be scheduled for tomorrow ^_^

The book I read is call, 'The Selection' by Keira Cass.

What pulled me to this book was the cover. I won't lie. A book with a fancy ball own and a tiara will get my attention every time. I read the synopsis and didn't hesitate to buy it, putting it on my 'to read' table until I was finished with 'Storm Front', a book which I put on pause until it interested me again. It sat on my table for a month, taunting me with it's beautiful cover and as yet undiscovered words, but last night, when I found myself with hours to pass and nothing pressing to do, this book was the first thing I reached for.

 The book is in first person, told by America, and it reads like a strange season of 'The Bachlor' or 'America's Next Top Model'. I have a weakness for those shows, but hate watching them until the end so I know who to cheer on. This book was like already knowing who to cheer for and just waiting to see all of the twists and turns the Male and Female lead go through to be together.

 This book has everything from Heartbreak to Political Intrigue, but I think what I like most about this book is that America Singer doesn't just meet the prince and fall in love. This book shows how hard it is to get over someone and how no matter how hard you try, they are always still with you in small ways and those feelings can throw wrenches in plans when least expected.

I can't promise you'll love the book as much as I did. But I can promise that it is worth the read. The writing was smooth, it didn't jump from First Person to Third Person as some books do. It had it's flaws, sure, but they were easy to over look and just as easy to forget because right now I can't think of any!

I am really looking forward to the second book.

A Bit of Retail Therapy.... (Picture Heavy)

 I was supposed to be up in Chicago this weekend for Anime Central, but due to money issues and the family car needing three belts changed at the same time, the amount of which actually made me cry because it made me miss Acen in the first place, I am not there. But instead, I am here and to make myself feel better about missing my favorite con, I went shopping and my gracious did I descend upon the make up counters!

First I had to get ready for battle....

Then came the war paint!

I decided to go with soft neutral tones to lure the unsuspecting counter attendants into a false sense of security before I pounced! ^_~*

 I scouted Estee Lauder, Lancome, Dior, Chanel, Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, and Shiseido. After investigating the new products and gifts with purchases, I ended up buying from Estee Lauder, Lancome, Elizabeth Arden, and Chanel.


So, here is my entire haul!

For everything here, I only actually bought.....six things.

It's it inspiring? Just looking at this picture makes me feel like the trip was four and a half hours well spent. So let's break it down!!!!

 I'm going to go in the order I bought everything, then go through all of the perfume. So we'll start at Estee Lauder...


Out of everything EL was offering this season, I liked their new lip glosses the best. They are light weight, richly pigmented, and best of all, non sticky!

This color is part of the 'Pure Color' collection and is called Molten Honey. It is a beautiful bronze cinnamon color and adds a touch of the beach goddess everyone is into this summer to any outfit!

Next we have the products I got as a free gift with purchase!

 First I got a base lipstick called 'Pinkberry'. It's creamy and smooths on like velvet. The great thing about this lipstick is that it can be worn as a sheer, if lightly applied, or as a full bodied color if done with a heavier hand.

As you can see, above on the right is the color with two light coats. It's still nicely sheer for a day wear look which is great for summer! I mean, who wants their lipstick to clump and fade after a few hours in the sun?


 Next is the lip gloss I got with the free gift. It's so pretty!!!

This is called 'Star Pink Shimmer'. As you can see it's super sheer. I actually found it a bit sticky and thick on it's own, but when paired with the 'Pinkberry' lipstick, it took on a nicer feel. Together they create a shiny mauve color that looks like it would work great for a fun night out. Sadly, I do not have pictures of the color at this moment.

Then we move on to the skin care part of the free gift.

This is the 'Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser'. It's thick, like a body butter, and his just a touch of shimmer in the mix.

 I've wanted to try this for a long time, but I'm always hesitant about buying full sized products, just in case I don't like them. So when free gifts come with the products I'm curious about, I jump all over them ^_^

This is 1.7 oz. . Not a bad deal for a $30 purchase.

Next I received the 'Day Wear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme with SPF 15'.

 I have yet to try this out, but it is a cute mint green color and smells like cucumbers! It's so relaxing to just smell that I can't wait to try it out.

It looks white in the picture, but I promise, it's actually a light gentle green color.

 I also received a small tube of black mascara. But I don't have pictures of it.

Funny story...Around Thanksgiving I had run out of mascara and went to my favorite makeup counters to get some more. Well, I didn't want to pay $35 for a tube of mascara, so I resigned myself to getting a cheep walmart brand instead and picked up a redness reducing solution from Clinque instead. Apparently my purchase qualified me for their free gift and I wasn't expecting it, so I didn't bother looking at what I got, figuring I would check it out when I got home.

 Well! I got home and finally looked in it and would you believe it? I got two different mascaras in the gift? Lol! Since then, I tend to get free gifts with Mascara in the mix and I never worry about running out now!


The next counter that I went to was Lancome! Now, I actually went to this counter with a purpose. I had been on their site the night before and saw that they had a Hot Pink liquid eye liner. O.O....Yes lovelies, I tell the truth! A hot pink liquid eyeliner! I wanted it so bad! But sadly, the counter lady said she knew nothing about the eyeliner actually being in stores, so I have to get it from the site later. What I did get was this epic violet mascara!

 It is called 'Hypnose Doll Lashes' and it's....wow!

Before I get into anything else, let's take a moment to admire this beautiful mascara tube! I love to get beautifully packaged make up. I think it just adds to the experience!

Ok! Now! Look at that color! It's a rich violet color that pairs nicely with black eyeliner for a fun reversal of what people expect traditional make up to look like.

 This shade called to me because it isn't often you find a color that is so different from Black. Often times you find Black, Navy, Black Blue, Brown, Black Brown, and Black Violet, but rarely do you find a mascara with such vibrance!

Yes the above picture looks like a mild bruise than it does a color swatch, but it works.

 Next was Chanel! I went specifically for the gold eyeliner that you can see above. But I got something else on a complete whim! But first, the eyeliner.

This is a left over from the Christmas Holiday collection that was carried over into the 'Viva Las Vegas' collection offered in early February.

 I love this eyeliner because it is actually metallic! It's not a matte gold and it doesn't smear because it's not a Kohl. I look forward to playing with this color more.

 As you can see so far, I have stayed away from getting any blacks or browns this shopping trip. This summer is all about color!

And shimmer! ^_^ Who doesn't like to add a little glitter to their cheeks or another layer of sparkle to their eyeshadow?

 This next purchase is actually a completely frivolous purchase, but I tried it on and fell in love!

How fun is this?

 It looks like a solid, feels like a cream, and goes on like a powder. It's so beautiful! I wore it just yesterday when I went out with friends and I felt like I was a fairytale princess! My cheeks had just a hint of shimmer, my eyes shimmered, and I even put it on my lips. I want this in the other five colors now. Best buy of the trip!
