Life Update and International Lolita Day rundown!

Hello Lovelies~

May is gone, June is here, and things have changed once more for me, which is why I disappeared through the month of flowers. I have moved once more and am now living with a good friend of mine and watching her little girl for the summer. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you're sure to see her in the background of some on my pictures. The girl isn't just a Ham, she's the whole Christmas Dinner.

I'm writing again. I joined and RP last year and recently stopped lurking an joined in the fun. Now all of my literary creative juices are flowing and I feel so energized it's kind of crazy. But that might also be because Summer is here and I love summer.

Swimming, sun, cooking out. What's not to love? This is the perfect season to scale back the layers and bean the rules till they melt in the heat. Casual Lolita is easier to do in the summer and it's even ok to rock the short styled skirt that AP promotes from collection to collection when the print suits.

The Dark Eye Shadow Tutorial I promised is on it's way, along with a Makeup Brush Deco tutorial I promised a lovely reader who asked for it in the Comment Box on the side bar to the right. Though if you comment or ask questions with that, please remember to put the title of the post in there some how. I discovered the hard way that it is a direct link to me, but is an independent widget, thus it isn't connected to the Post at all, but to the Blog itself.

^-^; Silly me, but you live and learn.

Yesterday was International Lolita Day! (YAY!!!!) I hope ya'll had fun and did something to celebrate, even if it was just something small like wearing a bow and curling your hair or wearing Mary Janes when you usually wear sneakers or something.

I happened to be invited to the Zoo though a strange conversation that started off as plans for other people, then morphed into combined plans, then different plans, then just all types of plans were made! But the Zoo plans fell perfectly.

When I got dressed I hadn't planned on rain, but by the time we got to the Zoo it was Pouring! It cleared up later in the day, but still. Rain on ILD.

It was a good thing I brought one of my parasols. If you ever get a chance to get one, I recommend it. Especially one that can double as an umbrella. They are so useful for zoo trips. 7 hours in and out of the sun and I am not burned any more than I was the day before.

We didn't see everything, our Zoo is huge! But we got a good bit accomplished and even got to ride the carousel! No pictures sadly, my phone died in the middle of the trip, but I did get tons of pictures in the aquarium! FISH!!

 All of those will be a separate post. I took lots of pictures there. ^-^;

And we rode the train around the back half to see even more animals, because I don't think we'd have made it if we'd have been walking with four kids, a stroller and a wagon, each containing a child and food. o.o

The day was finished off with an early birthday celebration for my lovely roommate. We had Pork Ribs smoked to perfection with mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, grilled Asparagus, and grilled pineapple (of which I only had one small square to try, but didn't eat more so I could avoid my stupid allergy from kicking in, despite the Grilled Pineapple being one of the more delicious things ever!)

I had a blast and it was a wonderful way to celebrate ILD. I now have wonderful new memories and stories to tell.

Now on to my outfit for the day!

I only got Selfies of myself through the day, so this photo was taken later.

Dress: Metamorphose
Socks: Metamorphose
Shoes: Off-Brand but Cute As Hell
Headbow: Metamorphose
Parasol: Metamorphose (Not pictured)

Yes, this is an outfit you've seen me in before, but It's super comfortable for a day out and about and walking and this time, rather than adding the two Petticoats I usually wear with all of my dresses, I went without it as this dress has a built in petti.

This is an older dress, so it has a traditional Old School feel to it, shape and colors, but I love it. I have a large chest, 50" inches and it could go at least four inches larger. I love Meta dresses for this reason.

I've always had a thing for fish. Aquariums are my favorite attraction of anywhere I go, but after reading and watching 'Princess Jellyfish' I have come to appreciate Jellies all the more. So I took a picture with one!

More Jellyfish pictures later, but for now. Thanks for reading! Follow me on all of my social networking sites for more pictures, updates, and faster updates. I am even posting on my Tumblr now! But that is more for my Everything I think is awesome moods, including Shows I'm watching, Fics I'm reading, Geeky memes I find funny, Stuff like that.

Let me know in the comments below what you did for ILD! (Even if you just took a Nap ^_^ ) Happy Monday!

It's Party Time! (Picture Heavy)

Hello Lovelies~

Yesterday I went to a 'Disney Villains' party with a friend. We didn't stay long, but we had fun and I hope to attend more parties thrown by our hosts because the attention to detail was AMAZING! I swear, it was all the little things that really made this party memorable, not just the people, though they were a blast as well.

Before I get into the costumes, check out this message on the fridge! This really set the tone of the party for me. I saw it and my first thought was, 'Oh how FUN!'.

And now the costumes I got pictures of! Sadly, I didn't get pictures of everyone there and I wish I had. The costumes, while not SERIOUS costumes were fun, well thought out, and I don't think anyone spent a fortune trying to out do one another. Which was really nice.

Cruella DeVille was the first costume I saw. I wish I had thought to get closer pictures of her jewelry. Her outfit was amazing.

Above is Scar, played by my friend Linda. The make up is light, but it was really cool to see in person.

One of the Hosts, he wasn't in costume, but look at that margarita glass!

And here we have Hades! ...ish. He was only half done and still putting his costume on. Paint takes awhile to dry after all.

And me! I went as the Queen of Hearts! (This picture was taken in McDonalds after the party)

Before we left, there were more costumes that didn't get photographed. Another Queen of Hearts, she looked so cool in her fedora and black jacket!. Sid from Toy Story, complete with Buzz strapped to a rocket. And The Three Fates from Hercules!

There were others that arrived after we'd left, such as The Hunter from Bambi and Captain Hook, or so I was told.

And now for all the other awesome things that made this party so much fun.

Poison Apples! (Carmel Apples dipped in green colored White Chocolate)

Note the silver box in the corner, I was so excited to see it, my first thought was, 'That's the box from Snow White!'. Turns out I was totally right!

Complete with heart shaped strawberries. They were very yummy. ^_^

Random decoration created for the Captain Hook attending later in the evening.

                                             Yummy melted chocolate for dipping!

And pound cake to dip in it.

Dinner is served!  (No Dingle Hoppers needed.)

And there we go! It was a very very fun party full of laughter and new friends.

 Bonus Picture!!!

My Makeup for the night. It's hard to see, but I actually painted a heart on my lips. This picture is from my Instagram and you can follow me under 'Rosesandcream' or catch up with me on Facebook for all of my Instagram postings.

 Thanks for reading!

My Weekend at Anime Nebraskon 2012 (Picture Heavy)

Hello Lovelies~

It's November my friends and this means it's time again for Nebraskon! I had a TON of fun this year. I didn't have an artist table, so I was just a panelist con goer this year. I went to Voice Actor panels, Cosplay Chess, and tries to make my way to various others while getting caught in the halls and having fun with friend I hadn't seen in a year or so.

I think my favorite panel, that I didn't run, was Pokemon vs. Ponies. ... Oh lord. I was honestly surprised this panel didn't erupt into a brawl. By the end, it was hardly a debate any longer. Had someone sneezed wrong at the other side of the room there would have been chaos! It was awesome ^_^

I wore pretty dresses all weekend and felt beyond beautiful the whole time! Here is what I wore....

Friday~

Dress: Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
Headdress: Metamorphose
Tights: JCPennys
Shoes: Alegria Shoes

I did my makeup in soft pinks to no over power or take away from the red dress. I really liked this outfit and while I don't wear red a ton, I might buy another piece in this color.

This is the newest addition to my Pullip family. She was given to me as a belated Valentines gift. She doesn't have a name yet, but she is the Angelic Pretty 'Starry Theater' doll. She is SO cute!!! I haven't introduced her to my other girls yet, but I know they will all get along nicely.

Meet Assa, the Assapako! (Creative, right? lol ) There was a dealer in the vendors room selling all kinds of then and this little one came home with me. I love him so much and now that I have one, it's gonna be like Poke'mon. I have got to get them all!!!  I was so lucky my friend got him for me. The vendor didn't look like he took cards, and I didn't have any cash.

My Mum liked Assa as well, so she decided to carry him with her in the straps of her Tripp pants. Assa doesn't seem to mind much ^_^

Here we are at dinner later that night. Assa is so cute! and he matched my outfit very well. I am so lucky I got him!

I went a little picture happy at the restaurant, so here are some more pictures, just because I have them  ^_^

This is my friend Francis, isn't he hansom? it seems this year no matter what I did, I kept catching him off guard, but those pictures turned out the best!

This is my Mum, She dressed as a random cat girl this year, and no matter what I kept catching her off guard as well, but it's like the moment she sees a camera she does this, 'Oh God it's a Camera!' face and of all of the pictures I took, this is the cutest one. it really is rather cute ^_^

My mum has this strange habit of Photo Bombing. She doesn't mean to, but I swear next year I should dress her up as Waldo just to see how many photos we can find her in. Apparently, she can even photo bomb herself!

Saturday~

Dress : Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
Thights : HollyTeaTime
Shoes : Clarks
Necklace : AliceDoll

I love shots like this, I don't know why, but I seem to be able to take them half of the time.

Where we go!~ The pink stripe in my hair is removeable, but I loved the way it worked with the outfit and hair design.

Since I was being all princessy, Assa needed to be dressed up too.

This was an strange game being played when I arrived on Saturday. It seemed to be a more acceptable version of 'Ride that Pony', which I didn't realize at the time. I just wanted to run around in circles and play with everyone else ^_^

It was great fun and if you ever get the chance to play I suggest it. Even if it is a bit dirty ^_~

Ahhhhh Nekomimi. The THING to have this year at the con. Here is my friend Francis trying on a pair and let me tell you lovelies....They totally work! Leave it to japan right? They are fantastic and I really really want a pair.

Strange shot to be sure. I was playing my new Poke'mon Black 2 game while waiting in line for the cosplay contest. Seemed everyone and their Assapako was playing either Black or White 2 so I got to play with lot's of people. It was awesome to make so many friends ^_^

 Sunday ~

Dress : Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
Belt : Vintage 80's
Necklace : Hot topic

This is the best picture of my hair from that day. I was so pleased with how it turned out ^_^

And finally.... pictures from the Lolita Tea party, which my Mum and I spent the whole weekend getting ready for!

We had about 50 people show up in the beginning and more show up as time went on. there are more pictures taken by the other girls and I will post them as I get them.

What was served at the party? Well let me show you ^_^

Coffin Brownies and.....

Blood splattered cupcakes!!!!

I loved making these and they were so easy ^_^ Though very messy as my stained skin can attest.

This weekend was amazing and I truly loved every part of it!

Estee Lauder's Spring Trend Event!

Hello Lovelies~

Today I attended the Trend event held by Estee Lauder at my local Younkers. here is what I wore today.

Today I wore my Pink and Blue plaid Baby, the Stars Shine Bright JSK, my Baby head round, and my new crochet wedges.

I took off my hair accessories and this is a picture of me after primer, concealer, foundation, and powder.

This the lovely makeup artist that did my foundation and lay the ground work for my eyes to be done by the amazing National Makeup Artist, Suzanne Carr.

This is my mom! Isn't her make up beautiful?

This is how my eyes turned out! I love this look and it is SO easy! I'll demonstrate it soon.

And this is the finished look!!! I am so pleased with how it turned out.

Here is the make up card she created for me of the make up so I can do it myself at home.

And this is Suzanne. Isn't she beautiful?! She is a wonderful lady and I was so pleased to get to meet her. Having her do my make up was an amazing honor.

This is my good friend Den. She is always beautiful, but her make up artist really enhanced her features.

And at the end of the day, this is the haul and just think....I only spent $30 ^_^  (please ignore the dishes ^^; My mum set it all out and I took the pictures before I realized.)
